Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

I have written numerous articles on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. My mother was diagnosed with this dreaded progressive neuromuscular disease in February 2007. She succumbed to ALS on November 30, 2009 only 2 ½ years after being diagnosed.

(Read my article entitled "One woman's story of how ALS impacted her family" that appeared in the Sentinel-Review on Tuesday September 30, 2008.)
